Just wanted to share some of the Hilo photos with you all!
Here is the Hilo Bay on a nice day, as some of us got to go on a canoe (yes, even in my Uluau Dress!) That was nice, feeling the breeze and the water so near, you get a chance to be closer to the elements that surround us... of course with a little help from my friend to paddle for me too!
Well, tomorrow is the sale at Hilo and website, so make sure you come and visit us!

お元気ですか～?!ヒロのベイフロント、と呼ばれているヒロ湾の風景を今日は皆様にお見せしたいと思い書いています。ちょっと前の写真ですが、この日はカヌーに乗って（そう、ウルアウ・ドレスを着てカヌーを漕いでいるのは私です!）普段余り体験することの無い、自然と触れ合う時間を過ごすことができました。私の後ろにいるのはグレンさん、元祖ビーチボーイです！

Sigzane.com Sale!!

Okay, you all knew it had to be coming right!?
Well, here it is, a sale at our online sigzane.com website store!
This is in conjunction with the Hilo Store's "Going Under Construction Sale",
so make sure you adjust your watches, and clocks to Hawaii Standard Time.
The Website Sale will start at the same time as the store sale, which is September 28, at Noon, and ends September 30, at 2pm, again at Hawaii Standard Time.
All the inventory, except for the newest selections, will be going on sale, so this is your chance to get that special item that you've been eyeing for, or a good time to get started with your Chirstmas shopping too!

Going Under Contruction Sale!!!!!!

News for all you Sig Zane Fans out there!
We will be going through a face lift soon at our current Hilo store location, and will be moving our store temporarily to another location, just down the street to 114 Kamehameha Ave. (where Charlie's Travel used to be) starting from October 2nd.
Prior to this exciting occasion, we are going to have... a SALE!
Yes, you read it right!The Going Under Constrcution Sale will happen on the last three days of September: 28 (Thur:12pm~5pm), 29 (Fri:9am~5pm), and 30 (Sat:9am~2pm). Be sure to coincide your visits to town (if you are out of town) on those dates, and come celebrate the occasion with us!

Keiki School Photo Season

Aloha to All Keiki and Parents (and Grandparents too)!
'Tis the time to get school portrait photos done for our keiki at schools. What else but a nice keiki opua dress and a keiki aloha shirt would they wear? As you can see with these kids in the photo, the clothes are perfect for school, and or, even for play time!
Well, I guess you know what my kids will be wearing in their school photos... (pssst, a Sig Zane!)

Learning about Lehua

Aloha Everyone!
Isn't this lehua flower beautiful? This of course, is our island flower of the Big Island, especially the red lehua flower. Here is a blog by Ipo that you can go to, to learn more about the ohia-lehua! She has gotten some beautiful photos, and is an excellent reseracher! So please check it out... she will be up-dating it with information about more of our native plants.

Mahalo to Honolulu Weekly!

Just wanted to mahalo the Honolulu Weekly for selecting Sig Zane Designs in the Editors' Picks in the Best of Honolulu issue, as the "Best Place to Buy an Aloha Shirt Off Island"! This was in the August 16~22, 2006 Volume 16, Number 23 issue, which was out about a month ago, so you won't find it in the streets anymore, but this was what it looked like. A BIG Mahalo to the Editors!

If you love cookies and chocolates, and you are in Hilo, you must go visit Big Island Candies. If you love creative and one of a kind shirts or dresses, and you are in Hilo, you must come to our store, Sig Zane Designs!
Well, now we have something that has the best of both worlds, a Lei Puakenikeni Gift Box designed by Sig and Kuha`o Zane filled with the signature goodies from Big Island Candies. Looks good, tastes good too.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Aloha! I was driving my daughter to school one recent morning, and lo and behold, this wonderful arc of a rainbow showed up! And soon it became a double rainbow, and I just had to take a photo of it because it was so beautiful!
アローハ！、娘を学校に車で送っている途中、なんとこの素晴しい大きな虹に出会いました！｢うわーきれーい！」と歓声を上げていると虹がもう一本増えてダブルレインボーになりました！

This made us feel very lucky and happy, indeed. What a nice way to start a day with the blessing of a double rainbow... Wishing you all a very happy day!

Marvelous is Maui, the Magical Island!

Hope all of you had a great Labor Day Weekend!
I was in Maui visiting Sig Zane Designs' Wailuku Store, and had a fabulous time there. Here is what we look like on Market Street (that's our Wailuku staff, Maile and Jaimie), right across the street from the famous Iao Theater.
アローハ!お元気ですか?先週末はマウイ島にあるシグ・ゼーン・デザインズのワイルク支店へ行ってまいりました！カフルイ空港から然程遠くないワイルクはクリエイティブな雰囲気あふれる素敵な町です。そこのマーケットストリートにこの黄色の暖簾を目印に是非いらしてください。スタッフのマイレやジェイミーがお出迎え致します！

We had recently celebrated our 7th Anniversary, and the store is filled with tons of new items for both men and women, so make sure to come check it out!
I love the town, Wailuku, too. It's got a lively creative feel to it, and there's a very nice cafe right across the street from us, called Marc Aurel's, so stop by if you're hungry for some yummy food and cappucinos!
つい最近開店7周年記念を迎えたばかり。メンズ＆レディーズの新商品もどんどん到着しておりますのでお楽しみに。お店の斜め前にはマーク・オーレルズ, というカフェがあるのでお腹が空いたらこちらへ直行。夜はワイン・バーにも変身するとてもおしゃれな場所です。

Another place that you may want to visit while in Maui, is this place! Isn't it just gorgeous? It's a place called Mama's Fish House in Pa`ia, and there's a restaurant that you will not forget your dining experience. They also have a cottage that you could stay too. Someday, I would love to go there for that experience!
さてワイルクに来たらちょっと時間を作ってでも是非とも訪れていただきたいのがこちらの写真を撮ったママズ・フィッシュ・ハウスというレストラン兼コッテージ。カフルイ空港から車で東へ15分程走るとパイアという小さなサーファータウンがありますが、そこのちょっと先をいったところにこの素晴しいところがあるんです。

What can I say, with this view and the food being so delicious, I would go back there any day!
So a Big Mahalo to Maui, the Marvelous Island!
