Aloha e Kakou and Howzit!!??
皆様へアロ～ハ ＆ お元気ですか～??!!
Hope you all had a great summer.
Well, during the summer, I got to work with a really great group of people
namely Jun Hasegawa, who grew up here in Hilo
and became a super model / actress in Japan!
She came to Hilo with the NHK-BS Premium Program production crew,
to film an educational / cultural documentary about
learning how to dance hula kahiko
with one of the most revered kumu hula, Nalani Kanakaole.
ハワイ島で育ったモデル＆女優の長谷川潤ちゃんが
高名な「ハラウ・オ・ケクヒ」のクム・フラ、ナラニ・カナカオレより
「フラ・カヒコのレッスンを受け、フラと密接な関わりのある
ハワイ島の自然や神話に触れながら、フラを
より深く理解してゆく」
という全8回シリーズの番組が9月6日（木）より
NHK-BSプレミアムにて23：15分から放映されます！
私の現在住んでいるハワイ島での撮影、ということでしたので
ちょっとお手伝いをさせていただきました。
There are some amazing moments captured on camera,
on location throughout the Big Island.
Featured of course will be Nalani, but Sig Zane and their son Kuha'o Zane
will be sharing their mana'o and dance steps with the viewers as well!
シリーズを通じてハワイ島の各名所、
そしてナラニ、シグ・ゼーン、息子のクハオ・ゼーン等が
登場しますのでどうぞお楽しみに。

and Kehau (above) at the halau of Halau O Kekuhi!

The series will be broadcasted every Thursday in September
