Aloha Kohola, Hello Whales!

 Aloha Kakou! Yes,  the humpback whales are definitely here! It's such a nice thought to have when you wake up in the morning, you know that they are out there.

皆様へアロ~ハ! そうなんです、ザトウクジラがハワイ島ヒロへ今年もやってきています!
今年は12月後半ごろからやっと観測できるようになりました。やはり朝目覚めたときからクジラが海にいる、と思うだけでうれしくなってきます!

この写真では左端にクジラの頭が突き出ているのが見えるのですが・・・

 The only way to see these amazing mammals are by just being patient and to look for splashes like this, and blows.

ホウェール・ワッチングをするにはとにかくじっとクジラの動きをキャッチできるように海面の様子を観測しているしかありません。そうすると、バシャーンと跳ねたり潮を吹いたりしているのが見えてくるんです!

They can be seen right outside the Hilo Bay, right outside the breakwater, and other areas along the coastline. 

ヒロでは防波堤の外側や海岸沿い一帯からクジラを見ることができます♪

Wish I could fly over from Tokyo to watch the whales NOW !! GIMME the DOKODEMO DOOR...
