Until Next Summer Kamakura!

Just wanted to share with you some photos from Kamakura, Japan where I was this summer. As the season nears the end, hope it will become a nice reminder of the fun and sun filled vacation time...
今日は鎌倉での夏の一こまを皆様にお見せしましょう。夏もそろそろ終わりに近づいてきた様ですね。今年も思い出一杯の夏休みを過ごされたでしょうか？

This is the sunset view of the Zaimokuza and Yuigahama Beaches. Lots of windsurfers and surfers come out to these beaches here. Kamakura always reminds me of Hilo, and since both are my hometowns, I feel a strong afinity to these locations!
こちらは材木座と由比ガ浜海岸の夕景です。鎌倉とヒロはとても似ていて、鎌倉は実家、ヒロは今の定住地、ということで両方とも大好きな所です!

And every year, Kamakura hosts a fantastic Fireworks Festival on the same beaches that you see here. The fireworks sre set-off on barges over the water, and some are pulled by boats so the fireworks are traversing as it explodes just over the water, like the one on the right!

そして毎年鎌倉花火大会が上記の海岸で行われるんですが、水中花火ということで水面からお花が咲くような嗜好のある花火が観ることができるんです!今年も最高でしたよ～!
