Aloha Festival Commences at Halemaumau Crater!

Aloha Everyone!
It's Aloha Festival time again, and that means that the Aloha Festival Investiture takes place to comemorate the beginning of a month long festivities all throughout the State of Hawai`i! Exciting month it will be for sure. This ceremony took place this past Saturday, August 26 at noon, with the Royal Court leading its way to the Halemaumau Crater.

先週末の土曜日、8月26日の正午から恒例のアロハフェスティバルのオープニング・セレモニーが火山国立公園内のハレマウマウ火口で行われました！これを皮切りにハワイ州は一ヶ月間様々なイベントで盛りだくさんになりますのでとても楽しみです！

And of course, Halau O Kekuhi was the chosen halau who danced for the Goddess Pele. The dedication dance was done right at the Halemaumau Crater, and it was very regal indeed!

そしてもちろん踊りを奉納したのはハラウ・オ・ケクヒ。ハレマウマウ火口にて火山の女神ペレ、のために代々受け継いできたペレに捧げる踊りを奉納しました。とっても壮麗な雰囲気でした。
