Moku O Keawe 2008 Photo Album! Hoike Night 1
Here's the photos from the Hoike Night!
It was truly a lovely night!
It started out with the lovely Lorna Lim, of the Lim Family singing and dancing. Her angelic voice blessed all of our souls, as Ed Yap and Wylau Rider accompanied and delivered the beautiful music.
Then, it was Halau O Kekuhi's keiki who gave an outstanding performance of their 'aiha'a dance. We got to observe first hand as how tradition is passed on...
Enjoy!
Love,
Reiko
Moku O Keawe 2008 Photo Album! Hoike Night 3
Here are photos from Hoike Night Part 3!
Halau Hula Ka No'eau lead by Kumu Hula Michael Pilipang, gave a great stage performance as they showcased implements and beautiful dancing in the kahiko style.
And to round off the evening, Kuana & Kehau of Na Palapalai sweetened our ears as would a dessert, with their signature harmony.
Mahalo nui loa to ALL who were there at Moku O Keawe International Festival 2008!!!
Love & Peace,
Reiko

Each night was blessed with beautiful stars and winds and moon.
Here are some of the photos from the first night of the competition, which was Kahiko Night.
A hui hou and have a wonderful weekend!
Love & Aloha,
